What do people really get in their 930s? I'm getting around 16 mpg, around town and heavy on the throttle. Maybe I get 20 on the highway. This is in a stock '77, except for thermal reactor replacement pipes.

I think I got around 14-15mpg stock having fun but don't remember the hwy mileage. Now I only get around 10-11mpg and maybe 18 on the hwy if I behave...LOL

Not sure about the street, but it's like 3.5 mpg on the track.

About 14 mpg on my canyon commute, but I'm running fairly rich and no 02 sensor.

Avaraged 4.5 mpg on the Nürburgring.
Did 65 laps on the track during 3 days.
The American Express anti-fraud system kicked in and my card stopped working. I later found out that somone at American Express had come to the conclusion that it would be impossible to use that amount of fuel per hour and that it had to be fraud.

Anyway, my card profile now says that my car uses insane amounts of fuel.

I get about 4mpg on the track too, but 25-28mpg on the highway. 650hp EFI converted though.

Wow, that's pretty low guys the only day I tracked my car I thought I got at least 8mpg. Maybe I didn't drive it hard enough or something.

I get around 10 mpg around town, 20+ on the highway @ 60-80 mph. On the track about 5 mpg. The '02 Turbo averages 16 mpg+ in local driving, 25 hwy, and 5 mpg on the track.

Thanks for the replies. Dave (Last 930), those are awesome figures on the '02, faster with better efficiency than the '79. Time marches on.

I drove about 365 miles at VIR for 3 days last Nov. Used about 100 gals of gas. I mixed 114 leaded with 93 to make 100. It was much cheaper than buying 100 all weekend.

Although my car is not a fire breathing monster. It puts out 346 rwhp at 1 bar.

Geoffrey,

Do you know how much if not all your difference that your seeing is from the EFI? Are you running a 4 or 5 spd and with what final gear? High 20's on the highway is impressive at any power level.

I took my recently rebuilt 930(less than 2K miles) from NE back to Wisconsin last fall. Steady interstate driving 70MPH@~3000RPM equated to 16MPG. The engine is a 3.3l, Electromotive twin-plugged, K27 7006, B&B headers/Muffler, Web Cams, new injectors, Kokeln IC.
Street driving or twisty's probably around 12MPG or less!

Drive it like ya stole it...ooops....someone's coming...gotta go~!!!

Your actual mileage may vary...
