Default my 930

First time here..... Since I was 18 years old I had a dream: owning a 930 when I'm 30 years old. Last november I had my 30th birthday and there it was: my own 930. Previous owner was my nephew who replaced the standard engine for a 3.6 Turbo. The Turbo has been replaced by a kompressor. The engine was completely rebuild and delivers now 450 hbp en 540 Nm

I thought this is the place to show some pics of mij 930 kompressor.

I will take some better pics in short time, but at this moment it's snowing overhere...

More pics can be found at: Ring-world.nl

Grtz,

Paskal

Hi everyone,

really beautiful and addictive cars. My obsession with Porsche (911 turbo's only - up to and including the 993 TT) begun when I drove a Porsche for the very first time - a 1986 930 turbo. Since then it became my obsession to have one - and managed it two and a half years ago, with my 965 turbo 3,6. Although extremely pleased and happy with my car, I sometimes find it too refined and civilised compared to the 'original 930's'. Your cars offer much more seat-of-the-pants driving, and, IMHO 'interact' much better with the driver than any other porsche turbo. Keep them good and enjoy them. Happy and safe Porsche 911 turbo motoring.

Here's my photo contribution to your wonderful porsche 911 turbo world!

Best regards

Emilios

I love the 965s. In truth they are better than the 930s in every way from a performance standpoint. Probably just overall build quality and creature comfort standpoint too. I think theyre slightly smoother lines still show a lot of original 930 in it. I wouldnt hesitate dumping the 930 for a 965 if it was the right one. I think the sharp edges and black rubber are what make the 930 stand out unlike any other 911 turbo though.

I thought my car looked pretty good, but you guys make my car look like any old plain jane!

I've got some work to do to bring it up to snuff.

The yellow car was on Ebay a couple of weeks ago they said they wanted $60K. Found out the car was complete respray. It is now listed under a different seller. Could be more?

I was going to stay out of this thread. Just checked in now and again to look at all of the beautiful 930's but now that Emillios and L8Apex have broken the ice for the 965's might as well. Always an honor to be amongst such distinguished company

Thanks for the info and the picture of the beautiful car. I'm really weighing all my options right now. I'm slowly coming around to purchasing a Porsche built for the track (but street legal) and a 930 is in my budget. I'm really torn between the 993 C2S and a nicely modded 930 - both are around the some $$$.

I think the 965 T is the perfect compromise for me but it's a bit too expensive for me, at least at the moment. I'm thinking about holding off until I have enough to make it in my range because I really like the updated suspension/look yet still retaining some rawness that the 930 has (scare factor).

Add saving for a P-car to saving for a wedding, ring, house down payment (hopefully stock will help me out here) and you have someone living off of PB&J sandwhiches. It doesn't help that I'm wrapping up payments on my Bimmer either.

Beautiful pictures guys.

965 was outta my budget. I picked the 930 based on cost as much as anything. I needed another $6-8K to find the kind of 965 I wanted and just didnt have the dough. As few miles as I put on, perhaps just as well.

I love the cobalt color.

Cannot help it but to love pure stock looks. This is a picture of my 965, not much in stock form, but I am loving its performance.
