The 930, when introduced, was more car than the average enthusiast could handle. Many were wrecked due to their nature to oversteer and spin out when the turbo kicked in. As such, there are few still around. Additionally, they are hard to keep in tune to pass emissions (in Cali). If you are new to Porsche, might want to start with a "standard" air cooled 911. They take a little more effort to lose control and you don't have to be going real fast. (e.g. when cornering at speed, do not lift off throttle!) Remember, there are no computer nannies to correct your mistakes....

The 930 is for Cars and Coffee while the 911 is for driving. I'll take the neck napping quickness of a lightened 911 over the long slow lag of an outdated and bloated turbo any day.

The car would have had to pass smog ALREADY before being offered for sale by BHCC so you don't need to worry about that. A CA dealer can't even register a car if they haven't smogged it- i hold a dealers license & this is correct info. Only way he could skip smog is if sold & registered out of CA..

Yeah I currently have an m4, which i know is not even comparable. I have driven a few 930 turbos and they are bitchinnnn. I love when those turbos kick in. But I'm not opposed to a 911.

I spoke to bhcc about the 930 they said it won't pass smog.. I saw the car and the interior was in terrible shape. the turbo would give out. Overall pretty crappy car.

Shawn, what exactly are you looking for? give me the specs and i'll shoot you an email with whats on the market in dealer inventory nation wide and the wholesale price they are asking. No charge, not trying to solicit business, just helping a fellow enthusiast
