Agreed ^

This 87 Coupe was a good buy on BAT this week. Too bad it's most likely going to be flipped.

Northern car. 140k miles. Not going to be able to flip it for much that's for sure.

i cant say I agree, the market has definitely softened and only 1-3% are top of the market show cars. I think the days of guys getting 80K for drivers are dwindling.
Don't get me wrong there is a market as guys scoop up cars selling into Europe and other overseas countries who will pay ridiculous money, and there is a whole new level of norm now, people can list whatever they want for their car , but I think the days of guys paying at that level ? not so sure !

I think this chart captures it pretty well. I would imagine the enthusiasts car drops in between a 2 and 3, as they are loved yet driven.

Seeing that a dealer won it I'm sure they will polish it up and make a couple grand minimum after all expenses.

True that! Classic Motors didn't buy this not to flip for a good profit.

I just finished my 80 Euro SC coupe with a 3.2 and a bunch of performance parts and XFaktory ITB kit...curious to know what it would be valued at?

Cams, you'd need to provide a lot more info and details about the car, otherwise somewhere between 25 and 60 depending on a hundred variables..

My '86 Targa is almost worth what I paid for it! But driving it today was priceless. Somehow, all the slow cars on my back country roads magically turned out of the way at just the right times.

I'm with you on that one! I also got a Targa but mine is an 85, taking it out early Sunday morning for a drive is awesome! Not that many folks out, just the ones going to work but at 7am the roads were pretty clear. If I were to sell mine, I could probably make out more than what I paid for it, but that's not going to happen, it's stays in the family!

Excellence market valuations have been the subject of ridicule for many years. Hagerty is much closer.
