Default 1982 Barn Find

This is a 1982 ROW 911SC that was in a barn ironically up the road from me.
It took me months to pry the car away. It had 42K 2 owner miles. Guards red exterior, navy blue interior, fuchs, tinted glass, rear wiper, turbos spoilers front and rear, fog lamps, Blaupunkt Washington cassette am/fm radio, non sunroof or factory AC coupe.
Last winter, it was totally rebuild mechanically with turbo tie rod ends, air box blow-off valve, and updated chain tensioners added. Although the heads were shaved, all else was put together stock with the exception of an ssi exhaust and removal of the cat and air pump. The owner of the shop and one of his mechanics are both Porsche Master Techs. The car shifts perfectly, G915 and sounds great and is a blast to drive. This winter, it was stripped down to metal, doors, front fenders, hood and rear trunk and glass removed. Car is in primer now and will be ready for use this spring.

"Guards red exterior, navy blue interior" What the hell was Porsche thinking?

Nice find! I notice the Turbo Tail, which is obviously incorrect and should either be eliminated or replaced w/ a Carrera tail. I bought mine as well w/ a T-Tail and changed it to a Carrera...

Someone did a ton of work to either put a G-50 on an 'SC, or an 'SC motor into a Carrera. And a Turbo tail can be added on, but if the wiper works, then they wired in the switch and a diode.

According to the authenticity certificate, the spoilers, front and rear as well as right electric mirror, forged alloy wheels, rear wiper, white fog lights, manual antenna with 4 speakers, tinted glass all around and Pirelli tires were all part of the original build.

Guys, if you ordered a spoiler for an SC in 1982 it came with the turbo tea tray as the factory spoiler. So, it is actually correct.
