Under normal driving conditions, I like to keep it between 3 & 4 k RPM's. Does this sound about right?

keep it above 3k and below the rev limiter

the motor wants to rev - don't treat it like a tractor

Your peak HP is generated about 6800-7200 rpm.
At first, it will feel like you really need to shift, but you will get used to the revs.

Fir starters, try not to shift up until 5000.
It is an adjustment

I noticed my oil pressure gauge hits 5 bars most of the time and stays there. It does drop when I decelerate but the book says at 5000 rpm it should be 3.5 bars?
