Default 1987 PORSCHE 911 Is this normal?

After driving it around for 10 min I came back and notcied the sound when you first turn your key once, the sound stayed on for a long time even after I started the car. Like the buzzing noise..and when I click it back after the car is started already to the first position the car is still on..do I need a new ignition or can someone please help me if this is normal for these old cars? I attached two videos of it and if you listen you can hear the buzzing sound evn when the car is running.

Sounds like the seat belt buzzer. Did you fasten your belt and close the door?

I had a similar sound coming from the foot heater blower on the driver's side (or whatever the technical term is). The sound was coming from next to the clutch (on the left).

But mine kept making even with the contact off.

As per Terry's reply, sounds like the open door warning buzzer... Was the door closed? If it was then it could be as simple as one of the door switches is stuck or dirty.

I'm in LA as well and a sucker for white '87 Carreras drop me a PM and join us for canyon carving fun soon.

How on earth did you attach this video? That is brilliant. I can think of countless instances where posting a short clip would be far better than posting words and photos. Must figure this out.

I would disconnect that. It's also possibly the source of your electrical leak.

many a car fire has started at that blower. I would not take that lightly.

That sounds like the door buzzer. Try the test again with the door shut and see if the buzzing goes away.
