With no service history at hand, I will have major service done to establish new baseline. Leakdown showed less than 10% (all 6) and everything else looked to be in good shape with new brake pads to boot. All power options, roof, windows, wipers, lights/fogs, etc...all work with the exception of a fussy up/down driver power seat function which will be looked at next week. Otherwise, having come from 2 996's as last daily drivers I'm supper excited about this car!!!

Very cool! Love the color - I gotta ask - what is it with you guys with 996's? You have a few of them - then sound as excited as a school girl when you buy a 1987 - 1990 Carrera... Do you get as excited with the "other" 911's or are they more just cars?

Very nice and congratulations. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it. Very different beast than the 996's - A whole new driving experience.
Now just make sure that your wrench gets rid of that Fram oil filter during the service, and uses the German part that should be used!
Have fun,
Tom

Looks Great!! I've thought about getting another 3.2 at somepoint, now you've made me jeolous. What a great car. For me, my only concern would be the a/c here in the AZ summer. Mine was never good but I also never looked into any mods to improve it (heard there are some available).
Enjoy ... and thanks for the pics!

Either way, I appreciate the engineering, not the status. I drive so much because it brings me joy, not because I'm going from a-b. I've experienced the watercooled cars, am excited to start over with this one, and have every expectation that a fat bummed 993 is in the cards too!

Makes sense - and I agree the 87-89 catch the true essence of the 911 - especially the 87 with less of the options. Great G-50 - a little lighter with less options. Stick a Steve W chip in it and you have one fine sports car. Congrats again...
