Did 911 "Speedster" logo badges exist in 1989 as OEM on factory-direct, new G-models?

Jäger,
“Badge delete” does not apply to ’89 Speedsters. None of them came with the “Speedster” emblem since it was first introduced with 964 Speedsters which debuted in early calendar year 1993. Many people have retrofitted ‘89s with the 964 Speedster emblem, thus causing confusion.
In 1989 I bought NINE ’89 Speedsters and resold 8 of them. Since then I’ve bought and sold almost SIXTY ’89 Speedsters, and confirm that NONE of them had the emblem.

If we were to go back to the year 1989 and look at brand new Speedsters as delivered from the factory, would ANY have a 911 "Speedster" logo badge as OEM on the engine deck-lid?
To corroborate your answer respond with a photograph of a well-respected book's cover.
Thanks in advance for facts & verifiable references!
He was happily surprised to find a couple of early G-model Speedster photographs that had the proper factory '89 Speedster logo as a show-plate (license plate).
He emailed these reference photos:

Relevant back-story:
In 2011 at Dana Point's 356 Concours, Sam Cabiglio & I co-organized the world's 1st Speedster heritage showcase representing each model born at the factory as a Speedster - 5 generations, in various colors.
The weekend of this month's big Luftgekühlt event in L.A., Sam & I talked Speedsters for ~4 hours.
He volunteered his G-model for Luft4's Speedster spotlight, which I curated - another world's 1st: all in air-cooled Guards Red.
Consumed ~1.5 months of free time to confirm & even transport the red rarities myself (a story for another time).
Pertinent to this thread is that my amazing wife produced 2 Guards Red-painted show-plates for each volunteer's Speedster, all in the appropriate Porsche era-specific font for each model.
You can get an idea by zooming in on the 356 in this LuftCollage:

Step back to 1989!
Another definitive answer, accompanied with period photography by Joe Hartman.
Photographed at Porsche's customer delivery center April 11, 1989, all subjects are delivery-ready cars.
He did not see a single 'Speedster' emblem.
Thanks for scanning & sharing your Kodachrome slides, Joe
Extra credit if you spy a rare narrow-body Speedster ^^

^^ Great pictures!
The one with Clipboard Clarence standing next to it!
The Carrera F/R spoilers (M473) must be pretty rare. Even has a third brakelight! Which probably wasn't mandatory for UK, judging by the silver car beside it.
I wonder what the covered car is in the background of picture 5 ?
Good mix of LHD and RHD cars. I wonder if they ever get confused after a while, and get in the wrong side?

When the 914-6 (hear me out) was produced, the badging was different for the U.S. and Europe markets.
Could it be that the Speedster was more of a low production special than a standard model? Perhaps dealers installed the scripts, or PCNA in Reno? If so, then are these any less valid than dealer-installed air conditioning, radios, and the like?

On this weekend of Porsche's 70th year celebration & their new Speedster announcement:
Photos from autoBild.de's "Kings of Speed" article.
In addition to Porsche Museum signage & a period-correct Carrera badge, it mentions the significant role American Peter W. Schutz (R.I.P.) served as Porsche AG's CEO toward saving the 911, introducing the 911 Cabriolet, and creating the 911 Speedster.
(When it appeared at Amelia Island in 2013, I became of aware of the 1985 911 he allowed to be 'stolen' from the production line for Rolf Sprenger's Special Wishes Department & used as a Speedster design concept. In 2015, I was thrilled to see it in person at the PCA Parade. Click: "2015 P.C.A. PARADE PHOTO THREAD - French Lick, IN!"
Highlights: post #s 35-36, 65, 196, & maybe 49 since Little People's passion is so pure.)
