I really enjoyed looking through the pictures. Thanks for taking the time to post 'em.
Looks like great fun. I hear it was a might bit wet!

RLer mingson wrote that his Pearl White 993 was a $12K paint to sample.
The Taj himself, John Dixon (RIP), wrote about his TT that "The paint job alone cost more than our first house."
It's the painted-to-match wheels that I'd like to know more numbers about: dimensions, etc.

BTW, congratulations on your incredible Concours score, JD!
'Speedy' had a good day. Maybe the best award?
...Based on children's simple pure passion, the Little People's Choice is the 1st annual Concours award solely from kids.
Recall Seinfeld's video of how Porsches are like marbles:

Another 993 Parade winner:
RLer sdoolin & his wife not only placed in the top of their Time Speed Distance (TSD) relay, but
[wait for it]
...they're still on friendly terms with each other! AMAZING
Congrats to Steve, who gave permission to post this smiling winners' pic:

LOW-drag / low-profile!
Great pics as always! Thanks for sharing. Glad you had a great time!
I think a person's face might ruin the whole 'low drag' concept.
Someone needs to install a set of itty bitty wipers on it. Just because - it needs them!
I wonder what the posts on the dashboard are for?
I wondered the same when I examined the '85 prototype in person. The posts may facilitate a fabric tonneau cockpit cover, as posted in 2009's "Speedster cover" thread.
Another option is '83 prototype's hard cover; see below.
The owner of the 1985 prototype in question just e-mailed me re: another Speedster detail (whether 1989s had OEM "Speedster" emblems). Want me to ask him to confirm the posts' purpose?

the "60 4 60" display
For the club's 60th anniversary 1 car was chosen by production year to represent each of year of PCA,
the largest single-marque car club in the world.*
* BMW Car Club of America also states it is the largest single-marque car club in the world.

More pictures ! It was a great Parade.
Best of all, while my car was being judged,my wife slipped away and found Dr. Wolfgang Porsche. She asked him if he would be so kind as to sign the inside hood of my car. Without hesitating,he graciously followed her back to my car and SIGNED it !
My wife took a picture of the early 356 and posted it on FB,asking friends if they knew what that small rectangular area was. We got anything from a 5-CD disc changer, little fins that come out & turn the car into a submarine, 1940's way of flipping off another driver, to the correct answer of turn signals !
