WTB 3.2 TARGA to backdate
Hello everyone! Haven't spent much time posting here on the 911 forum, but I'm ready for a new project. Since I had little luck finding the longhood targa I wanted, I figured I'd backdate a 3.2 and have some fun!
Colors, miles and cosmetics don't matter as long as a PPI verifies leakdown #'s and no major mechanical or rust issues. I am also open to an earlier car with a 3.2 or newer. I'm looking to find a deal, and have cash available. Prefer a So Cal car so I can see it, but cross country isn't an issue. I bought my RUF from a rennlister cross country and had a great experience. Thanks for reading and hopefully I'll have build thread to start soon!

I know exactly where an '84 Targa is that is the perfect candidate for a backdate. The car has been owned by a few of us and is currently waiting for someone like you to rescue it.
Her name is Ruby, and she is in a warehouse in Huntington Beach. PM me for details.

^^^^ Before I saw your post I knew where this could go. I have the transaxle out of the car that I really don't need for the '73, and another 3.2L engine (180K total, ~10K on $13K rebuild) that wouldn't be giveaway but I really don't have any use for.

Did someone say '84 TARGA? This is Ruby in her heyday.

Got the low down on Ruby and she's not for me. I'm not looking to start from scratch or else i'd probably do what Ken did and use an older tub to not have CA to deal with. With that said, I'm still looking at all the usual places a few times a day so if y'all see or hear anything PM me!

For a limited time only: The 80s are back!
PPI is done and the car will be heading to So Cal next week. Needless to say I'm very pleased 86 targa with 109k on the odometer, solid #s on the engine, some factory 930 steel flares (maybe for sale), bolted roll bar (for sale soon) and cosmetically a reminder of everything wrong with the 80s (any value in those wheels?)
All in all, the perfect storm for me to feel no guilt about starting my project. I'll start a new thread on the build once I have her in my possession but for now I recommend putting on sun glasses for the pics!

I've not been to or talked with Einmalig in months. New beta blocker, blood thinner, and as of 12 days ago my 5th pacemaker/defibrillator. I'm sure she is. Would be more than happy to help you obtain her. The shop where she is at is just filled to the rafters with pure Porsche pr0n.
Pictured below are spring plates and hardware that I was able to drive in, throw my old parts in a bin (so they could be cleaned and replated for the next guy), pick and choose the best freshly replated parts from the shelves myself, plop them down on Brian's desk, get a price that was too good to pass up, and be on my way in a matter of minutes. Heaven for a guy like me.
I did the same thing with almost everything pictured in my avatar.
