Coming back to the original topic, considering I probably only have a week left to dispute with my credit card company, what is the vote?

Should I wait for the bars or dispute?

For those that say wait, I will not be passing the hat around to help my bank balance recover if it goes bad lol.

Call the credit card company. Open the dispute before it's too late. Let them sort it out and it keeps you in the clear time-wise, while putting pressure/allowing them a little more time to resolve. Sounds like this way you win no matter what. It's not personal, just business. Protect yourself.

protect yourself the whole way .. better to sort out a misunderstanding after than be totally screwed and left holding the bag .

Maybe the front bars have been the hold up all along at Sway-A-Way and eshock is stuck in the middle of a bad situation. I've put another email into the Eric to see if they have been on back order for seven weeks. Just trying to give you some assurance that you aren't getting screwed over. Sometimes it really does take an item that long to come up in the manufacturing order....especially if it isn't a hot, bread and butter, everyday production item. Eshock looks legit and Sway-A-Way is a hug name in Porsche, VW, and off-road truck racking. I don't see them intentionally screwing with anybody. Besides, if they are, I'm only 45 minutes from there. I'll beat the bars out of them if I have to.

There is absolutely no excuse for lack of communication with a customer.. a very quick way to end up in a thread like this.

I got a simple one sentence response to my request for a refund overnight.

"Do you still need the SAW-1227 those are in stock and can ship today?"

My response was that I am not interested in doing only half the car. If and when the others are available, message me and we can talk again.

Hopefully a refund will be provided soon.

Will keep everyone posted.

Just wondering if anyone else has stiffened only the rear torsion bars on a street driven early 911 and what are the results. Race911 suggested upping only the rear bars, obviously he is someone with vast experience and Porsche used the same setup on the turbo. I am just wondering if the street driven nature of my car and the fact the rear end is significantly lighter than SC's and even more so than Turbos would throw a spanner in the works.

If do not not dispute the charges and get ripped off, you have no one to blame but yourself.
