Noob Intro
Hi All,
Always wanted a 911 and found one that fit the bill in December and couldn't resist. It's a 1987 in decent shape that I'll be cleaning up and driving mostly daily (once we lose the three feet of snow we have!)

Hopefully sooner... we have track days lined up for June!
OP: Welcome and congrats! Check out the Canadian sub-forum... tons of activity (mostly conversations about how much we miss driving our cars). Once spring rolls around you will have plenty of driving to keep you busy!

We have quite a few Porsche guys in the area that get together fo coffee or do local runs to sy Jacobs or Elora for coffee. Tom is in Kitchener and has a Beautiful Blue Carrera if you ever see him . Most of us are in Cambridge though with quite a few Targas running around.

Iceman, I'll look you guys up if the thaw ever comes. I grew up in Cambridge (Preston, ya, ya, I know....) but live in Waterloo, near uptown.

Thanks Arni. Not much of a story really; I've always dreamed of a 70s-80s 911 and sporadically checked the various classifieds and stumbled on this one in Toronto Kijiji. It was priced quite low but is a high mile car (200,000miles, not kms) but after speaking with the owner and doing a ton of my own research into the car's history, I took a very knowledgable friend with me to T.O. and we spent a few hours going over it. The numbers all match, it runs great, and it is all there and most important to me, is unmolested (the original Fuchs were traded for a brake job but I can live with that). The head studs have been replaced so that's a bonus too. Anyway, the seller accepted my offer, which was substantially lower than his original asking price, so I hiked up to CIBC at Yonge/Eglinton and got a bank draft and then ordered a flat bed and hauled her home to KW before he could change his mind. Its been covered up in my driveway since then (Dec 18) but with this thaw, I may take her for a gentle ride tomorrow....... Never thought I'd actually own one and it being a cab is a bonus I'd never considered either.:
