Yup, the older 911's don't feel small when inside tho as some cars do.
I'm always kind of shocked when seeing its profile next to more modern cars and SUV's.

This is my problem with the 991. I like the way it looks, especially from the back. But my god, it is huge!
I was behind one on the freeway the other day. It was driving next to a Dodge Challenger, and they looked about the same size. This is insane.

Huge, of course, is relative. When I see a 997 or 991 by itself, it seems big. But look at one parked next to a Toyota Camry and it truly is a small car.

You are right 911Dave, it is relative. Although, the 991 is about the same width as a new Camry and only one foot shorter.

I love the intimacy of the aircooled cars, everything is close to you.

parkerfe, I would definitively agree with you if we were comparing apples to apples. Yes, one foot is a lot. The problem is one car is a 4 door, 5 seater, large family sedan and the other is a 2 door, 2 seater with rear seats too small to accommodate any human being over the age of 8 .

Unless they've had too much to drink...amazing how flexible the human body can become if properly lubed up.

I followed a 991 in my Targa.... it could def pass for a Panamera from the rear. Its a beast though, very fast car. Having driven one in the twisties, I prefer my 3.2.
