Default Looking for a REALLY nice 3.2 Coupe

Hi guys,

Don't post much on this forum, primarily over on the 993 and Racing/DE areas. Long story short, I used to have a beautiful 86 that, if it were not a Targa, I would never have sold. I have had my 993 for 6 years now, and can't imagine ever selling it. Love it.

I am looking for an earlier car that will be driven on nice days and weeked trips, no track. Like the 993, this will be long-term keeper for me, and I will be patient and wait for the right one to come along.

Incidentally, both my 86 and 97 were found through Want ads here on Rennlist - I'd rather buy from folks I "know" and trust. I am looking for a reluctant seller that has a top 5% car whose ready to pass it along to someone that will continue to look after it. No dealers, please.

Looking for a pristine original Carrera, willing to wait (and pay) for the right example: essentially a concours-quality 911 that gets driven and enjoyed, with fanatical attention to mechanical and cosmetic condition.

• Coupe only
• A smooth shifting 84-86 915 is fine
• Original paint, no accident history
• Not modified preferred (or reversible)
• Full maintenance history with records
• “Low” mileage - less than 100K miles with regular use
• Any color except black exterior

Looking to keep criteria as general as possible for now, at least to start. Something in the Northeast would be great, but willing to travel for the right car.

Please PM me with any leads. Appreciate the feelers!

PS - a few pics of my old 86 and the 993.

Cheers

Matt

Tim Holt seems to be loaded with low mileage 3.2's in various forms right now. Of course you pay a bit more when buying from a specialist dealer but, what they do offer is more choices in one location.

I want the Linen 14,000 mile '89 he has. That said, Holt asks a god damn mint anymore for 3.2s.

He rarely posts his asking price on the cars either.
