Default (ROAD TRIP) picking up my first TARGA tomorrow

I was lucky enough to find a 1986 targa in IRIS BLUE with 44k miles on the clock me and my wife will be driving tomorrow to Little rock AR to pick up this beauty early in the morning I want to thank ED Hughes, Joanne and robert for all their help with this baby

Congrats on the 911 purchase. I have purchased an 84 Targa and plan on using a UHaul trailer as you plan to. Can you let us know how that worked out in terms of clearances, both on the trailer and loading/unloading? Many thanks,Steve

I suspect all U-Haul trailers are not alike, but be careful. I used one to transport an old 911 and the trailer had 4" vertically angled steel in order to keep the wheels centered. Because of this, it makes it critical that you use a raised platform to load the car. We tried using wood blocks to raise the rear wheels, no worky. If you can find a short steep hill,..that works great.

Very nice. I'll never understand how one can own a really nice sports car and NOT DRIVE IT....44k in all of those years...I just don't get it.
