Ya know what....I could live with 22k for that car. As opposed to a real 964 I'd be all over this one. Go ahead and call me bi-polar. Getting it at 18k would make it a livable deal. Personally I don't like the 964 bumpers, but if you like it, and it is as clean as you say it is, then you may have your dream car.

Be very very careful of early C2's.

Thanks. Plan to do a second test drive and get the car up on a lift for a better look. Will also keep looking around the tristate area.

Default Widebody

I have a 75 widebody kit steel rear glass front fenders, with a 80 3.0 cis engine. A frankinporsche and love mine. Turbo looks with bullet proof and low maintenance cost of a cis engine. That being said with an engine rebuild around 10k you better have an inspection, or get help from someone here on the forums before you buy. Good luck.

If you like it and it's sound go for it. If you decide later you can always backdate it to the 'correct' bumper look.
Just get a solid PPI with a good indy shop in your AO. If nothing major is found they still often find wear out items that allow for a more spirited haggling experience and you have a solid jump off point for maint. ownership.
Good luck.
Oh yeah, assuming this is a 915 tranny car so really pay attn. to how it shifts. Solid engagement (slow precise shifts...you place it in gear and do not rush the synchro's) was the clutch etc replaced during the rebuild?
I love the 'involvement' a 915 demands of the driver for perfect shifting....really makes the experience 'more'.

This is where paying for the membership and having access to OT would come in handy. Lot's of listers up and down the New England coast. Good luck.

Hey, will you look at that:

Sloan is not a service shop. There is a place a little west of Hartford, Auto Associates of Canton. They handle all types of Porsche repair from mechanical to paint and body, even race car prep!

No way I'd pay north of $20K, I like the $15K ice put out. The resale on this car will be tough. For $22K, you can find a nice Carrera that has a very good chance of holding/increasing value.

Look at opo's recent Targa purchase, as one example.
