A friend is looking to buy an original owner, 83 Cabrio in great condition, all records and only 30k on the clock! What do you guys think it's worth on avg, they are asking him to make an offer?

with those low miles and corresponding nice interior/exterior , original paint , no accidents, near perfect car ..... I would say $30K or more

Offer 20K. The nicest one I have seen went for $24K I think.

You just about nailed it, but from the owners side. The car wasn't what was origianlly thought. It has rust issues and relative problems from being kept outside in NY and barely driven for the past 10yrs!
Mileage is 47k not 30k, but that barely matters. Car runs like a champ and only needs cosmetic restoration. Owner asked for $20k, counter was $10k cash and he settled out @ $12,500! I still think that's a great deal!
Once restored, it will be a gem

A very good deal... unless there is a lot of rust.
