Angry 930 wrecked

just wrecked my 930 this morning. Coming onto a ramp for xway and wet tires and a little boost caused the car to out of control. Went into snow cover grass and back onto road with snow in tires no control and hit guard rail. Taking in tomorrow although right fender damaged, headlight broken, slight damage to bumper and crushed rear fender flare along with somewhat of a crease behind right door. Checked all the used parts places for rear quarter (LA, Parts Heaven, DC Automotive etc) no parts. Any ideas would be appreciated on repairs....fairly pissed at myself.

That's too bad. You did not note any injury, so I'm glad you are OK. Took the 964T out on summer tires yesterday to put on a few miles on and had it sideways onto a ramp. Thankfully no damage. I'll look around for parts and let you know what I find. It can be put back together, buts its mighty frustrating when something like that happens.

Be sure to check out Suncoast Porsche for low prices on new parts if you can't source used stuff. Glad you are ok...metal can always be fixed!

from what you have stated so far sounds like a write off ( doesnt take much with these cars ) is the plan to buy it back and fix it ? If you had a few pics maybe we could see what you need.

Sorry it happened. But as others have mentioned -- car parts are easy compared to human parts. Sucks to have to fix a car, but it really sucks to deal with pain and complications from an injury for the rest of your life.

Took 930 to shop and owner is taking good care of car and future repairs. Quarter panel has to be repalced too far damaged to repair. Found new SC fender/quarter though Whaletail in Ontario Canada. Guy at Restoration in Canada referred me to him. Randy at Whaletail advises SC fenders from 1984 forward was the factory way Porsche built the 930's by adding fender flare. Is this true....if so I can purchase the SC fender/quarter for $600.00 and purchase a flare from Restoration for $400.00...all new and all steel. Ideas on this??? Thanks

yeah i know Randy .. he is decent enough guy but i would verify anything you can before buying any parts from anyone .. the guys on the 930 forum would probably know the answer to this.
