On the oil drain, if you plan on keeping an air cooled Porsche, get an oil evacuator...drop it in the tank and suck it out...easy and clean as opposed to the huge rush of splashing oil.
I do that and then take the plug out, only a few drips after, then normally drain the sump (easy part).

Figured an '88 in Diamond Blue had a good chance being a CE car. But yes, without color coded fuchs and a different color interior - not the case.
I kind of like the lighter color interior - that works well with a car with marginal AC
These are the seats I was referring to:
Enjoy the car - I think the 80's Carreras are at the sweet spot of what makes a Porsche a Porsche.

Those seats are nice, I really like the interior in my new car , also I just got the service records on the mail and I found a receipt from July of 2012 which shows that the car got an engine and tranny oil change, fuel filter and the valves adjusted, so now the only thing that I'm going to change is the oil because they use castrol 20-50 , I'm going with Mobil1 15-50

I'd go with the heavier 20-50, particularly in your neck of the woods....be careful, some experience oil leaks when changing these old girls over to full syn. Some don't.
The Brad Penn was the sweet spot for me-it's a semi-syn.

Thanks Ed, so I will stay with the 20/50
The car had a engine rebuilt 15k miles ago and there is no oil leaks and I sure don't need any...

The car arrived yesterday and I love it! The engine pulls strong and the transmission shifts smooth, the engine is bone dry , the black plastic in the rear fender looks to me like it was glued to the panel, if I pulled it out I'm afraid it might damage the paint here's some pictures, btw the sport seats arrived Monday

Thanks Ed, one thing I forgot to mention is that last night I removed the wheels to clean the under carriage and when I removed the front driver side wheel I smell some gas, do I need to look for some crack fuel lines in that area? Here's a closer picture of the black thingy on the fender..

my take is that the fender molding is not a factory item. it looks to be dealer or detail shop added. factory paint should withstand removing it without damage. first time i've seen this on a 911. strange that it's not on all corners.
btw.....beautiful car(s)! congratulations........very nice addition to your collection.
