Everything is done, the car is running super smooth, the only thing that didn't get fixed was oil level gauge, it's always all the way to the top, checked oil with the stick and oil level is fine, getting the seats installed on Friday and than the car goes to the body shop to remove that trim, as ice man said its better to let them do it incase there's something hiding there and also so we don't missed up the paint, what do I need to look for to check the oil level gauge?

it pegs when you lose connection.. first thing to do is remove the wire from the sender right at the tank and ground it . if you do that and the guage goes right to the bottom you need a new sender.

Well the seats are here and they will get installed tomorrow than goes to the bodyshop to get that trim removed, 2 questions
1) I want wider wheels , I have 6's in front and 7's in rear, it's 9's in the rear safe? Or should I do 7's in front and 8's on the rear?
2) I'm going to conver the a/c to R14, what do I need to do besides changing the outlets??
I will post pictures of the seats tomorrow

Do you meain R143a? I think O-rings and inspection of all hoses is in order. Griffiths posts here quite a bit, I'm sure he can guide you on that.

The oil gauge on my 84 did what yours is doing. The connections on the oil tank were dirty with road grime. Cleaned the connections on the wires also and problem solved. The gauge was actually very accurate. Nice looking example of an 80s Carrera. Love the interior.
The blue on both 993's, is that Mexico or Maritime Blue. Awesome color!

I will get them cleaned up as soon as I get the car back from shop
On the 993's the cabriolet is RIVIERA BLUE and the coupe is TORQUOISE BLUE

1. Great looking car
2. Great that you are here - follow Ed's advice/previous posts. His wisdom/comments are time/$ savers. Per Ed, I to moved the 7's upfront and bought 8's for the rears. Very happy. If you are stuck on 9's, I wish you better luck than I had. Very scarce, and VERY pricey.
3. The seat mix up sucks but fixable with the wallet.
4. Before you send your rear wheel well guards to be pulled off, you may want to try GooGone. My shrunken plastic door sills pulled away like they were just laying there. No damage to the paint etc.
5. I did the reverse, 1 year ago. I pulled my car from Texas to Cali., 20 yr. prior owner. It must get real hot down there, as he upgraded AC as well.
