Still waiting on the center filled fuel setup... that will delay the paint... I will stop by today to look at the progress. Need to remind him of a few things:
a. One of the supports for the clamps that holds the oil lines needed to be replaced
b. Same styled brackets needed to be removed on the drivers side (the one that use to hold the A/C lines on that side)
c. Need him to remove the windshield so that I can remove dash. So I can recover it in leather
d. With the dash out I can also remove the instrument gauges and leave that area ready for him to paint the same color of the car.

Alejandro is taking the car to metal... on that passenger door, when I got the car, it looked pretty bad. I thought it had to do with some bondo used to fix a dent or something. Glad to see that it was all due to the many coats of paint or red filler used when prior work was done in the car.
He tells me that the coat he puts on is just to avoid the panels to get surface rust while he works.
You see where he marked with a black marker the areas he needs to cut and fix. He also found a crack on the door, where the frame enters the door. So another thing he will fix.
Fitment of the Duck Tail looks good so far. There is some build he needs to do to make it match at the top, but overall I am pleased to see that it will not take a lot of work to make it right.
A few more photos from yesterday:

A lot of the parts are in (bolts, gaskets, a sensor here, a few brake lines there...):
New lenses for the headlights:
New Momo steering wheel... center horn button with Porsche crest... 911 in chrome and black (need to decide which one I go with)... and my son likes dragons, so we got a dragon chrome piece for the car (got to have fun with my son as, eventually, this will be his car)
I was also offered this and could not resist-to be installed on the engine lid grill

Problem with having to wait is that you get time to surf the web for more things that you can use in your projects... Like for example:
http://www.d-zug.us/hidupgrade.htm
Carbon Fiber rear reflector...
HID's
Cool looking grill!!

I went by the shop today... he is working on taking the driver side to the metal. That is a good thing, soooo much crap under the previous paint job.
Also, I want to switch between engine lids. Here is a photo of the lid that will be left without any spoiler. I asked that the holes for the stock emblem be welded shut...
Hood is done (taken to metal and then coated to avoid rusting while he works on the rest of the car). Waiting on the center filled setup to make the modification to the new fuel tank and hood...

New 911 Ducktail Built in The US | eBay
Ebay id from seller is phantomcomposites997
The idea is to have all three engine lids fitted and painted. Duck, Original (and heavy! ) spoiler, and no-spoiler lid. As I could not decide which one I wanted to keep installed long term.

Since I will be running headers without heat on this car, I got a set of covers for the heater ducts holes. Now to decide what color to paint them or to have them powdercoated.
Got them from http://www.st-classic.com/
