3.2 Owners: What Do Your Filler Caps Look Like?
Oddball question I know, but I was looking theough the Sierra Madre website and noticed something.
Both my gas and oil filler caps are gold metallic. The site says my 1986 model should have a red plastic screw-in gas filler cap and a yellow oil filler cap.
Did someone at the factory just grab whatever was on the shelf when they made my car? It was an October '85 build, so maybe Hans was still celebrating Oktoberfest when he slapped 'em on.

Mine are just like yours. Original as far as I know - I bought my '85 in 1996.

My 86 (built Jan 86 and not sure if it matters, but it is a US spec car) also has the metal gas cap and yellow plastic oil cap (which, btw, cleaned up very nicely with a good shot of brake kleen, while on the bench, not installed on oil filler tube).

If any PO replaced caps on the way, they would be the colored versions, so unless one is the original owner, they may not know that a red cap or yellow cap is original.
