Default Anyone tried these wheels?

Hey guys looking for a set of new street tires and rims for my 85 carrera (turbo look). Has anyone tried running the O.Z. Alleggerita rims for the 964 on their 930? Overall diameter would be fine switching between a 255/ 40/ 17 to a 255/ 35/ 18, just worried about the offsets

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

heres a pic of the current rims, they're nice 3 piece construction, would like to get some track tires on them

I saw the replica versions on a Targa SC and they looked really good.

I think that large offset wheels, and 18" diameter on top of that, look plain wrong on torsion bar 911's.

I don't mind the look on the widebodies, I really have no problem sticking with 17" but I'm not gonna drop 3k plus on a set of street wheels, and I don't think 16" are gonna clear the big reds up front

I'm actually more a fan of the tea tray, but i don't mind the cup wing its sporting now. To me a Porsche should have ridic over the top wngs haha

but more realistically its the fact i would rather spend the 2k on something else for her, although I picked this one up with all the mods I would have done anyways, fabspeed exhaust and big reds up front, plus I love the speedlines
