Call of the Wild (1981 SC)
I have resisted an affordable 1980-1986 911 for years.
And suddenly! Right time, right, place, right car... I believe this one has me hooked. Another week or two for inspection, road test, etc. So many questions to follow. Great forum from a heretofore lurker.

The garage has the SC and two early model restorations in progress; I believe the other was a 356C and all three were headed for ebay until I walked in. Want details?

Lizard Lick! Before I became a telelcommuter, I drove my car through there every morning on the way to work. I hope it works out for you. If you aren't doing anything Saturday morning, a bunch of us and other cars will be at Brier Creek for the monthly C&C gathering. Plenty of Porsche activity going on in the area year round.

Wife, job, travel, three cats, big dog, live-in father-in-law, grass to mow, pipe-cigar forum moderator... I guess there's still room for a car club.
In truth I am gregarious but not a big joiner, however an antique 911 seems to need a community or someone elses bank account to survive. I'd like to maximize my driving (and driving enjoyment) while minimizing stoopid mistakes and costly blind alleys. That means... probably, yes.

Welcome
I used Lizard Lick towing when I locked my keys in the VW that was blocking my moving truck the night before closing around midnight.
Need to post more photos.
Feel free to send me or Michael a PM about getting together in the Triangle area. He is the expert at finding the fun scenic backroads foe a "leisurely" drive.
