Default Fabspeed Exhaust for 88 3.2 Carrera

I would be interested in hearing feedback from anyone who has a 911 3.2 Carrera (84-89) who has installed the Fabspeed dual outlet exhaust including cat bypass pipe. And if so, did you also do the replacement airbox from Fabspeed? Is it everything you had hoped for? Plusses/minuses? Thanks!

I do not have it on my 3.2, but I have heard it on a 3.2 and it sounds awesome. It is louder, but sounds amazing. Have you been to Youtube? I am sure there is a clip there.

Check my sig and you will see that I have it all and also the chip! No regrets and love it! Also looks as mean as it sounds, it looks like Yosemite Sam!

Save your money on the air box-the quality on that is marginal, IMO, and the stock box flows plenty of air.

Yep, paid full price and gave it away when it would not stay on. Total crap thermoform Fabspeed would not stand behind. I can't blame them actually, as it was crap.

I have the Fabspeed RSR exhaust system on my '87 Carrera, with equal lenght headers and 2 in 2 out muffler. Great set up with great sound. I also have a "GT3 style Cup Y-pipe" that makes the car sound like a GT3 (on my 993). Together with a customized Steve Wong chip and a cone air filter, the difference in both throttle response and power is phenomenal! The Fabspeed system with no heat also cuts 65lbs of weight in the back end of the car (the old system with heater blower weighs over 80lbs!). So it not only improves power, but also handling!

+1 on air box cover..it's crap...just bought one and having to rework it for secure attachment. For the asking price it should be way better quailty

I'd also go elsewhere, if you plan on chipping the car. I'd not use Fabspeed for that service.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm glad you're enjoying our exhaust systems and we look forward to another great year. We have different exhaust packages for the 911 and we do all of our Tuning with Steve Wong at 911 Chips. Our Airbox is on the expensive side but its due to the tooling and manufacturing that makes the price. If anyone on here is interested in it, but doesn't want to spend that kind of money, I will make an awesome deal on it which might make it worth your while.
Thanks again everyone,
