Mine is black and is about 14-18" in diameter and 6-8 inches high with a large hole in the center. If the hole isn't big enough, you can enlarge it. It fits easily under the car. I don't have a lift, so a 5 gal bucket won't work for me. I dump the used oil into a 5 gal water container I converted specifically for that purpose.

I have 2 of these..they suck so bad I bought a second one
the secret is the hole in the top (or the vent) isnt big enough to allow the oil to drain into the bottom fast enough so it over flows..... I cut a BFH (hole) in the top...
cost ~$10 at "any auto" crappy parts store says 15 qt

Oh. When you place the pan under the sump, be sure the pan is far enough to the left side of the car to catch the oil as it comes out sideways. If it's not far enough over, you'll miss the pan. Ask me how I know...

I use this one too. I ended up drilling a couple more vent holes along the top edge, then drilling a bunch of add'l holes in the middle part near the larger hole. I don't bring this pan to the recycling place, I transfer to old milk jugs.

I use a container similar to Ivangene's but the top is open (no holes to deal with),....once done, I transfer (pour) this container's oil TO a container that holds the old oil for transport to the FLAPS. I like working with a large opening when dealing with this much oil moving pretty damned fast.....

NO, NO, NO!
I have the same one as Doyle has. Why screw around with the false bottom version? I think mine holds 15 or more qts, and has the handles and spout.
