Wow! That looks awesome. How do you like yours? Does it provide enough clearance to work under? Thanks for the lead. Christmas is spoken for but there are always birthdays!

I have 8 foot ceiling in my garage so it can't go to far but it gets high enough I can sit on my wheeled stool and get around under my truck & wife's car. Oil changes, suspension and brake work are a snap.

They carry those at Autozone et cetera here in Texas. I'd just hop on down to whatever parts place you have near you and look. O'Reilly, Advance, Autozone, etc.

I've used the green 5 gallon one for coolant on my MR2. It fits under the car easily if it's on jackstands, and can easily handle the 3ish gallons of coolant an MR2 contains.

I bought a Bend Pak low rise lift from asedeals.com (probably the same web site Ed Hughes meant). Good transaction with them. No problems with the sale/delivery.

Nice products. Did you go with the 2 or 4 post unit?

It's neither. Brett has the low rise, I have the mid rise version. I'd recommend the mid-rise, as you can get high enough to drop the motor without removing body parts. I can sit under my car on my roll around stool, and still clear my ceiling.

I have 10' ceilings and like the idea of being able to either store a car above another or use as a lift for repairs.

A 4 post will def allow double stacking, but not necessarily the best for working on cars.

Because the horizontal runners the car sits on do not allow you to get the wheels off, and may impede major projects like removing engines. There are longitudinal beams you can use to jack the car up off the runners, but that kind of defeats the purpose in my book. It is a compromise to store and be able to work on the car. A two post lift is the ultimate for maintenance, then a mid rise, IMO.

It is made by Direct Lift and I have had it for a couple years, no complaints whatsoever, been fantastic. Even my insurance company signed off on it.

Happy Holidays!!!!!
