Question 911 Car Cover: Is it water proof???

I have been looking for a car cover for my 911. When I picked up the car last week I noticed a silver Porsche bag with a draw string in the trunk and low and behold there was a cover in it! Now, does anyone know if it is water proof, water resistant, or just a sieve??? It is silver with the stretchy stuff around the edges for that "special fit"! Thanks for the help!

Does it have the Porsche emblem on the front in dark gray print? Is the bag the same material as the cover? I think I have the same one.

Most are not water proof. If it is truly water proof you will not see any daylight through it upon close inspection. (Use a flashlight or bright lightbulb).

I've never seen one that prevents condensation.

It is not waterproof. Try Griot's Garage or Auto anything. I bought one of thoes Kimberly Clark outdoor waterproof covers and found it is not waterproof. It wanted to be, but was damp in the morning at an event after overnight showers.

The comfort "waist band" is a nice feature.

You might want to get the kids to help you shake off the dust, but don't forget to tell them to close their eyes when you start shaking ! ! !

Several people have recommended the Noah cover from Griot's.

I have a Cover King Noah for my Benz. Its water proof to a point. I would not depend on it for anything but brief showers and I would remove it afterwards to let it dry off the car.

Just a comment on "water proof" some very high quality materials are essentially water proof-- ie- water will hot go through them-- but light will pass through- and there are even very small pores that are open- still water will not pass. These very fine quality fabrics are also "breathable" meaning moisture can escape but water will not ingress.

Do you make a cover for the whole car?
