$7.22/qt on Amazon if you've got the free shipping deal.
After many hours of reading oil threads, I came to the conclusion that Brad Penn 20W-50 was the right oil for my air-cooled '87. I got mine by the case from www.theoilwarehouse.com and even with the shipping the cost per quart was $5.63. (Might be more expensive to ship to the end of the world... I mean Maine)

Valvoline VR1 or Brad Penn. I have been using VR1 in the race car because of how easy it is to get (and cheaper )

Crazy, I'm on your side here. If he doesn't want to see signatures (which includes pictures), he doesn't have to see them. He can turn them off. Don't see why you have to adjust yours because he doesn't like the size.

Going back to the oil selection topic. I would use whatever the previous owner is using at least for a little bit. There is a theory out there that some of these cars will start leaking when you go from Dino oil to semi-synthetic. I have no good empirical data to support this, but when I bought my car the previous owner used Quaker State and claimed the car didn't leak.

When I took ownership of the car I immediately switched to Brad Penn and then I started noticing leaks. Again, I don't know if this theory is true. So before you change, I'd evaluate first. That way you know for sure.

Not sure about the theory that everything starts to leak after changing motor oil ...
The PO of my car who has owned it for ten years prior to selling it to me used Castrol GTX 20W50 for all his dealer accomplished oil changes and i switched to Mobil 1 15W50,although things did start to leak but it was caused by the Triangle of Death .. lol

Another thing is that the car previously never exceeded 4000 rpms so maybe i did stretch and loosen a few things up by tracking it and shifting on the rev limiter occasionally
I just did an engine drop to replace the "exploding" clutch and changed all Triangle and more, related seals and gaskets and my car doesn't leak one drop now !

Just sayin ...

Cheers !

I use to live in Greeley, Parker and South Fork. The latter being where we lost our home and business to the Million fire in 02'. Miss CO lots! Hope to be back some day.
