Hey Dave, nice to see you over here with the adults.
Check over on the Off Topic list for a sticky on this Saturday's fun run from the Palisades through Harriman to the Warwick Winery. Hope to see you then.

I think we meet a while back in Brooklyn, unfortunately I am at college and will not be able to make it this Saturday, although i did a similar run over Columbus day weekend and it was great. I have been posting the thanksgiving day run all over the place its looking like its going to be a great turn out if you can make it.

That it was excellent memory, you can tell your son that I was given my first Porsche when I was 17. It belonged to a family friend of ours, it has stopped running on him and the garage it was at was giving him ridiculous estimates to repair it. A few weeks before it was going to be junked I intercepted it. It was a horribly beat up not running 924s. 3 months, a lot of forum posts, and a lot of manuals latter i had it running. Turned out the DME/ECU was toasted and had to be rebuilt. All the repairs cost less than 700$ and a great deal of hours, cuts, burns, scrapes and curse words. The car was free so I was in a good place at this point. What was truly priceless was the learning experience, and the fact i was the only kid in my high school parking lot with a Porsche.......

Its been some time since this thread has seen some action, now that the date is getting closer here is the deal. Assuming the weather hold's after this freak storm.
There has been a great deal of interest in the Hawks Nest run so that is the one we will be doing. That being said, I have never been there, has any one been there and know a good route to get there. I know a few people had mentioned that they knew of places to get lunch, and places to stop etc. Any help form any one would be much appreciated.
As for the plans, this is what I have so far. Lets meet up at the Rye Playland parking lot that morning. Originally i was thinking 8AM as it is a long drive from there, but if people would like to meet a bit later that is fine too if it means more will show. We can chat there for a bit take some pictures etc, then we will head to the Hawks Nest. It should take about an hour and forty five minutes to get there. We can do some driving there, then stop for lunch at some point. After lunch people are free to do what they like. If people are up for more driving then we can do more, if people want to head home that is fine too. That is what I had in mind so far, if people want to add to this plan feel free to.
Regards
Dave
