Default Recommended 911 motor oil

What is the recommendations with regard to oil for my 88 911? Mobil 1, Billy Bob Racing or another? Thanks

PS: 20/50 or 15/40? Starting in Florida, ending in frigid Maine!

Royal Purple 15W40 or 20W50 if you live in a very hot climate.

You'll probably be able to pickup the 20-50 Valvoline VR1 at an auto supply in FL before your trip. Cold weather guys may chime in on whether 15-40 or a different viscosity oil works better in cold climes. You won't go wrong carrying a 2 or 3 qts of 20-50 to start out. Hopefully, you won't need but maybe one!

I guess a couple of each viscosity won't hurt. Happy Thanksgiving Ed!

Do a search on motor oils on the Pelican forum ... you'll spend the rest of the month reading threads about every kind of oil imaginable !
I personally use Mobil 1 15W50 in my 89 ...

By the way,i think your son wants the keys

Cheers !
