Default PPI results

issues noted on a 1987 911:

1. minor oil leak. oil pressure sender may need replacement
2. cruise control cable needs replacement
3. shifter bushing had abnormal play and clutch is high but does not slip

Leak down numbers: 2,2,3,6,6,5

Anyone have any idea what these minor issues will cost to fix? Car is flawless othewise.

didnt the shop tell you (you can call and ask them)

I would bet $800+ for cruise (wild guess, no reason to even know if I am close)
$200-300 for oil leak
and for $45 I will sell you a rebuilt coupler with the best bushings known to man....WAY better then new parts, these are amazing... - install is 30 minutes shop time

PPI sounds pretty uneventful....maybe you found a new ride!!

Pics? I also agree with ig that the shop should give you an estimate.....that is if they want the business?

The cruise control cable is NLA. Post here if you do find one-mine's been broken a while, and it wouldn't be bad to have it operational again.

given that the car is 24 years old, those PPI results are stellar. if the price is right, you'll likely not find a better car.

Thanks all. I am doing all of this long distance. Shop is in Fla and I am in Atl. PPI results were sent to me last night so I have not had a chance to ask the shop or my local Porsche wrench. Figured this group would have opinions. I am flying to Tampa next Thurs to buy and drive her home. pics coming once i figure out how to post. I think i need to hang on FB and then link.

Ed-

I know. Previous owner went with a rebuild from 3.2 to 3.4L Added a Wong Chip and a ton of other nice add-ons. I have spoken to the Engine builder directly.
