Carerra Insignia Bonding
The previous owner of my car repainted the car. When they bonded on the engine lid Carrera insignia they placed it too low on the lid. Can this be removed without damaging the paint, assuming they used the recommended adhesive? At first I though they located it for the addition of a "whale tail" but it appears to be out of place for that as well.

i have heard of people using dental floss and such things to slide under and remove it .. Hard to tell if the paint will be affected but if they waited until it was fully cured before ataching the logo you should be okay with some light solvent to remove the residue. may need a new logo though. If your unsure i am sure a body shop could get it off for you easily enough .. some things are worth buying a guy a beer for if you know what i mean

CARRERA Logo location.
I don't know about the adhesive, but it appears to be nothing more than two sided tape which should withstand removal without damaging the paint.
Here's the correct location for your re-attachment.
Good luck,
Gerry

Thanks for the spec. Mine appears to be located between the stock and spoiler locations, wrong for either application. I am thinking about trying a "goo gone" type product with the dental floss to help penetrate the bond.

Glue removal.
Try this, or just soap and water with a soft cloth.

When I changed the color of my wife's Cayenne emblem, I used soap and dental floss. I removed the remaining glue with WD-40. I then used Maguiar's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner number 1 to get any remaining haze out. I used blue painters tape to outline where the new one goes. You get only one chance to get it right.
