Well, MOST of the posted pictures look pretty terrible, to my eye. The only one that looks good is the red one:

It is taken at an angle so that it hides the 'power hump' (you know, the 996-and-later swollen tail look somebody thought was a brave new styling cue), so you get a chance to imagine what a modern car with a 911 fastback rear end would look like, instead of the prevailing wedge notion that has swept through 90s-and-later automotive design.

I think the longer wheel base is more for shoving that engine closer to the middle of the car. I don't think too many people buy a 911 for rear seat passenger space.

I still think if someone wants GT type feel, then the Panamera is a much better and more usable choice. Even the Cayenne is a better choice if you want to ride in comfort and have room for passengers.

I bet we'll see the 911 become more raw and more driver oriented since the other offerings (including the upcoming Cajun) will cover the people that simply want a badge and don't want to be bothered by stiff suspensions and cramped quarters.

These things are getting expensive at $82k starting price for a base Carrera... 6 figures is not far away with the usual Porsche options that they conveniently leave out...

I think this picture shows it's perfect stance. Some subtle styling cues I like are: 1) more pronounced front fender humps, 2) convex shaped headlight lens following the hump's contour, and 3) of course the 993-esque hips. 4) The lower front facia works well too in this angle.

I like the body style but not the interior.
