Default Checked fuel lines, cracks found, what is this part?

After iceman's recent post on the car fire, I figured I'd inspect my fuel lines. They all look just fine, with no cracks at all. But there is one thing that is cracked, and I can't tell exactly what the part is. I'm pretty sure I'll need to replace it ASAP, but cannot tell what the part is, either from looking through the Bentley service manual or the Parts and Technical References Catalog.

The car is a 1985 Cabriolet, with virtually no mods other than stripping out most of the AC, 130+k miles, always garaged, no problems.

The cracked part is short rubber fitting that connects a hard fuel line (I think) to another metal fitting that connects via a hose clamp to a hose.

What is this part? Am I right in thinking that it needs urgent attention?
Thanks!

Pics + descriptions follow.
#1 shows the engine bay. the part is in the upper left corner, behind the heater blower ducting
#2 is looking around behind the ducting. The bent copper pipe near the top angles down toward 5 o-clock. The cracked rubber is on that fitting.
#3 shows the cracked rubber part as well as the thing it connects to
#4 same. The cracking is a little more visible in this one.
#5 higher up, showing the pipe that runs behind the engine and connects to this

Vacuum line, you can find it in PET. Was about $120, iirc, back in '03 or '04 when I changed mine.

IanC found just the rubber part in a BMW parts book, but I dont have the number. That piece can be JB Weld patched and followed with with some 1" duct tape like Gorilla Tape will last indefinitely.

Thanks for the replies. With this information I was able to at least find the "Venturi Tube" that it connects to, PN 067-133-753-A

So yes, it does not carry fuel. Due to the location, and like redridge suggested, I had figured since it connected to hard tubing that it would be fuel. Nice to be wrong on that.

I've got some pretty good black loctite adhesive that I think should patch it up well. Nice to know it's not about to spray fuel all over the engine.

Thanks again.
