Yes,rubber should be visible!
I replaced mine with Wevos because the rubber was so squished that the washer was touching metal on both mounts. They were the original 1989 mounts ...
Cheers !

I wonder if there is something missing on the bottom of the mount, or between the mount and the body. I wonder in other words if the bolt pushed the rubber out. Just random musings while I'm finally eating lunch today.

Geeze,....I loaded my P-wrench with ALL new stuff ~ 1 1/2 years ago,..no way (in that limited time) that I've a "stock mount" problem (failure).
I think something else is amiss,..either install,..or something a bit more "complex"....
Just intuition...
Thanks!

Should have cup washers top and bottom. That left mount looks a bit beat up.
Stock mounts are fine. Most that have gone to Wevo are race cars.

I'm confused as to why this state presents itself. I can't state that I recall with any intimacy what PP shipped to me, but will assume, for now, it was NEW stuff.....not beat-up looking sheeit...(pleeeaazzee).....
Might someone speak to the markings on the large bolt head(s)?
I'll certainly GET to the bottom of this, especially with all of you people's help.

Ed,..(also),...I, too, have heard of NO issues with Porsche MMs for this year. I desire NO more "stiffness" than what was delivered STOCK, so I never considered any other mounts that would be made of some other (stiffer?) materials. Should I ? Would it compromise the ride (assume no track needs, but [moreso] a factory/stock hiway car,..just as delivered by Porsche!!!!!
Anywaze,...thanks for your help!

I'd stay with stock mounts, I've replaced my stock mounts with the same. You'll get some harshness if you switch, as you'll lose the dampening of the rubber.

Do you happen to know if they are Porsche mounts? I replaced my motor mounts a while ago with stock OEM (but not factory Porsche) and in less than a year they looked like yours. You pay a little more for the genuine article.

Thanks for the reply, KNS.
The mounts that were provided to my Wrench were the 901-375-043-00-M127.....These are noted as GERMAN,..but NOT Porsche (so, maybe I need to spend $88 instead of $26?)
My head is spinning from looking thru the PP parts stuff.....they spec "74-89, while the "applications section" denotes different years...I guess this to be non-relevant..
One would note that the Porsche mount is: OEM-911-375-043-00 ??????????????????
Did I frick up here, or what?
I'd be MORE THAN HAPPY TO GET THE P-MOUNTS!!!!!!!!
I've still, further investigating to do (however). I just CANNOT imagine my Wrench installing such a visually informative mount project/condition (no way)...maybe (as you suggested), something "changed".
Still need to sniff about........
