Default Battery Box Tray 83 SC

I cleaned up my battery box in my 1983 SC. See pictures

I know I need to get bare spots shining, primer ect ect My concern is the coating. The original coating on the bottom of the battery box or battery tray is almost like thin tuck bed liner paint with some kind of fibrous backing. I would prefer to get some type of primer paint or something to stop any rust. I doubt that you can get the same paint. I don't want to hide the spots where there has touch up work done because the car is pretty much original. Any suggestion or help would be helpful.

Thanks
Joe
