early rev counter-will it work with 2.4 carb engine?
My 65 911 has undergone a long restoration/mech upgrade. The car came to me in 1983 with a 2.2 engine on webber carbs. All the instruments worked up until the most recent resto when I changed the engine to a 2.4 again on webbers. The tachometer(rev counter) no longer works.Are there differences between the 2.2 and 2.4 set up? would it be captive ignition or not? Has my tach just given up?
