Post Old car buffs...for sale

Ok, hope I don't get in trouble for posting this here (admin: remove this if I'm outta line).
I'm selling/trading this for my Dad as he doesn't have the time...here are the details:

See car at <a href="http://www.biltform.com/1955.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.biltform.com/1955.jpg</a>

1955 Chrysler New Yorker in excellent condition. Runs and drives great with just under 100,000 documented miles on the clock. This car lived in the southwest (New Mexico) its whole life and is owned by my father who is the second owner for the past 18 years. I am selling this for him. I have many pictures if interested. This car really is beautiful but my Dad ran out of room at his home. I have virtually ALL reciepts since new (1955!). My Father was meticulous in it's maintenance and care.

Please email me or call for many more details and further description. I can be reached at 602-550-2500 or aklein@lexsolutio.com

I'm looking to trade for a decent Porsche (prefer 911 or 928 but will entertain all) or best offer.

How MUCH does that Chrysler weigh? and does it have any suspension mods? Sport seats? spoiler?
Sorry couldn't help myself. Good luck with your search and I'd get 911SC or Carrera or keep your Turbo S. This is a good place to ask question befor you buy.
Cheers

The Chrysler weighs about 600,000 Tons and has many mods including an engine management chip and a spoiler (not attached in photo). It'll do 0-60 in 3.8 and hit a top speed of 195 MPH.

Not really...but it is real comfy and smooth and drives like a ship!

Badger: Perfect reply, best laugh I've had all day. Hey, being serious now, both very nice cars the Chrysler and your Turbo S. I can see where your passion for cars comes from.
Your S is nice dude, I had a 89 944 reg. that had that same interior (linen) under gaurds red. I miss that car and it's shift linkage.
I also had a 49 Chrysler Highlander that belonged to my Grandfather. That car was a trip.
Cheers

Nice cars. The Chrysler, has that been repainted or is that original?? That looks really nice. I love the lines on the older cars. And the chrome, steel, and V-8's (insert Tim Allen Grunt here several times!).

Porsches and Chrysler corp products are my favorites. Good luck with the car. I'll let you know if I find anyone interested. My parents have a 1969 Dodge Dart, w/a 340 four barrel in it. Perfect condition 111,000 miles. No dents, dings, or rust. They are looking to get right around $20,000 for it. Collectors car.

Badger,

My first car was a '55 Chrysler New Yorker DeLuxe, 2-door coupe. Hemi V-8, dual exhaust, power windows, steering & brakes, with that shift lever sticking out of the dash board just to the right of the clock.

Bought the car in '64 from an enthusiast in New Jersey who was taking delivery on a new Mercedes 220SE. Paid $125 ($25 more than I paid for a go kart and some spare parts two years earlier!). Sold the Chrysler in early '66 when I bought a '60 Bonneville convertible. The New Yorker was really superior to the Bonneville.

Thanks for the memories.

My car buff done kicked the bucket. I don't want to spring for a new car buff... So, how much for one of your old car buffs?

Cheers,
Chris

Flat six...Original paint. It still looks very nice as this car spent most of it's life garaged and/or covered. When you get close you can see some age but it still looks better than many cars 35 years newer!

Glad to see this one's stirring up some good memories for some. Unfortunately my heart is in Stuttgart and not Detroit.

Still...if this car could float you could stand on the hood and yell "I'm the king of the world!"

Yes, it's that big.
