Default SoCal All-Porsche Swap and Car Display, Sunday – March 6th, 2011. . .no affiliation.

Didn't see this up anywhere & thought some people might want to go. Heard from a rep. @ Pelican Parts that its a great place to get parts, accessories etc. Also a great place to check out 1,000's of Porsches.

(Underneath) Copied from website. . .

The Southern California All-Porsche Swap & Car Display will again be held on the day after the Lit Meet on Sunday, March 6th at the Phoenix Club, 1340 South Sanderson, Anaheim, CA 92806, about a mile from the old Dunkel Brothers site. See http://www.thephoenixclub.com/ for details on this German American Club.

The 356 Club of Southern California will have indoor vendor displays in the FestHalle with 11,500 feet under one roof! Outdoors, we have room for more vendors, swappers and large grass soccer field for car corrals.

This event will take us back to a simpler time in a very unique setting; to a time when the Internet was not your primary source for used Porsche parts; a time when the local Southern California Porsche owner's gathered each winter to swap, fender fondle, see old friends and appreciate the breed. There will be vendors dedicated to our Porsche hobby and plenty of swap space will be available. If you have a car for sale, bring it and put a sign and information sheet in the window and sell it.

Each car coming in for Porsche display parking will make a donation of $20. The gates open to the Porsche parking on the grounds of the Phoenix Club at 8 AM. We will have all the extra parking spaces that we added last year. Seeing all the Porsche's parked there will again be incredible! The walk-in gate will be open at 8:30 AM and admission will be $10. Breakfast and lunch with a German flavor will be available from open to close. For those wanting to stay in the area of the Phoenix Club on Saturday night, we suggest the AYRES HOTEL ANAHEIM, 2550 E. Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92806 (714) 634-2106.

Swappers will make a $40 donation per space taken on a first come first served basis at the gate on the morning of the event. Indoor vendor space also be available for $80 donation per space taken, but must be reserved by February 16h, 2011. For Vendor display information and reservations, contact Bob Lee at Robert.b.lee@***.net or 619-518-6632. Swapper and vendors will be able to come in and begin set up at 6 AM. A portion of the proceeds will go to charity.

So, we'll look forward to seeing you and your Porsche Sunday, March 6th, 2011. Bring whatever money you have leftover from the Literature Meet, your Porsche, Porsche friends and join us for a celebration of Porsche! Breakfast and lunch will be available, so plan to spend the day soaking in the glory that is Porsche. Watch for updates and for information; contact Jeff Trask at NO911NV@aol.com or 949-697-4499 or Pete McNulty at pmcnulty98@aol.com or 949-400-9319. Let us know how you want to be involved!

It's supposed to rain this weekend, but the show isn't until the 6th. The forecast calls for it to clear up after this Sunday and looks after that (fingers crossed). This is always one of the better shows because there are a lot of vendors present.

Well, I ended up staying home-did 2 cars and coffees yesterday, and we went quasi-dog shopping this morning. Now, I've got the 993 on the lift poking around.

So, did you see anything?

Lot's of neat stuff! We got there around 12:30 so people we actually starting to pack up some of the swap meet stuff. Lot's of nice cars. I didn't really have a list of things I wanted so I was there more to look. Next year I suspect I will have a big list to fill. The wife and kids aren't coming to it either....

I did get a nice 911 RSR 1:18 scale model. $40!

Ended up going to Hollywood after and while sitting at the Kodak theater a movie premier was going on. Some actor from Modern Family was checking out my wife...... I saw Seth Green too!

I ended up going & it was well worth the drive to the OC. Next time I will definately get there around 7-8am. That's when all the vendors/swapmeeters get there & have everything out. It ends @ around 1pm.

Great selection of pretty much anything Porsche & tons of great cars & people.
