Taillight Housing Removal
Greetings all! Just got new taillight gaskets in the mail. Is there any trick to installing them? I'm guessing I'll need to remove the assembly as the old gaskets don't wan't to come out easily. There's a drain hose that I see in the Bentley manual. Is that part susceptible to breaking or giving me trouble with alliging it when I go to reinstall the assembly? Thanks for the help and advise.

I installed new taillight gaskets with the electrical still connected. The old gaskets were removed with a sharp blade easily after 24 years old California sun. The problem I had was the mounting hardware would not release. I chose to take everything apart. I removed the bumper and everything else in the way. I pulled the drain tubes and drilled out the mounting screws then pulled the tail light housing. Contact cement kept the new gaskets in place and "installation is reverse of removal".
