Default help with 911 front hub Question

Does anyone know if the front hubs are the same from a 1978 911 sc to a 1988 911 carrera. I would like to know the size that they stick out from the rotor if possible. I was curious to run turbo hubs instead of factory hubs to eliminate running a spacer on a turbo bodied car. I believe there is an inch difference between the 2. Any info would greatly be appreciated!!
TIA

I can compare a 78 to an 84. I think they are the same hub.

They are the same P/N. 911-341-065-06, fits SC's and Carrera's through 89.

That seems to be about 14mm for the carrera or sc hubs and 28mm for 930 turbo hubs, 1/2'' difference

The Turbo front hub difference (IIRC) is 21mm. Be careful with the measurement as the rotors are different thickness..... The early 930 cars had a 21mm spacer and used the SC hub, the later cars did not use a spacer and had the 930 hub.....

Cheers

You are saying there is a 21mm difference between a newer 930 and a 911 sc/carrera? Which is almost an inch.

I have no idea about the 930, but the SC does have slightly thinner rotors, so the comment about rotor thickness is a good one.

I'm referring to the hub size rather than the rotor size between the 2 vehicles
