Best wishes to all -

I got something I've always been meaning to do but never had the chance - a one day high performance driving school at Jim Russell! Now I have to decide wheter to take the 911 '02 M3. Think I'll have more fun with the 911!

Tom

No P-car goodies, though being with a lot of extended family makes up for that. So, I treated myself to some blunt craft needles and appropriate thread to restitch the leather on the steering wheel; it's been getting rattier the last couple of years. I've worked for about an hour, I figure it'll take me at least 4-6 hours, listening to good tunes, to do this job.
There's something to be said for long, cold Prairie winters; I wonder if those in warmer climates really appreciate the beautiful steering wheels our cars have!

My lovely and well-guided wife treated me to a couple of cosmetic items for the upcoming version of my 911.

These RS America door panels I found on ebay really impressed me with their construction and attention to detail. I got mine covered in leather, for that 'luxury race car' feel I'm famous for.

I also found these door sill covers on ebay. Like the door panels, they're a cosmetic item that adds weight, but the clear resin and silver numbers look cool. And the fact that they're aluminum means the weight penalty is minimal.

For myself, I sprung for a silver crest for my new 930S wheel, as well as, oh, a few hundred other items on the list of what my busted car needs in order to be made whole again.

A 2003 P-car calendar and an IOU coupon for the purchase and installation of a remote starter for my F-150 daily driver (that gets parked at the train lot) so I dont have to get into a cold truck in the chilly N. East mornings!

I got the calendar as well. I was disappointed when I saw the January and October months had an SUV on them. I will have to keep last year’s around to use during those months. The wife told me I could return it for the historic themed calendar, but I will keep the one that was given to me.

Sparco nomex & leather driving gloves, so I don't burn my fingers when lighting up a cigar (just kidding, I don't smoke).

Open trailer (bought used from club racer Bill Walczak).
