You are welcome Ed. How is the paint quality. Any rock chips, road rash ? Is it all original paint. How about a clear-bra before you take it for all the runs which I am sure is in the cards ?

Paint is pretty darned good, a few chips on the bumper, but less than most I've looked at. I'd say close to a "9". A good driver, IMO. I'm going to order a Dr. Colorchip kit and see what that does. Again, not a huge issue, but worth addressing.
I'll get the orbital out over the holidays and polish/wax and see how she looks.
The hood was reshot two years ago due to an overzealous detailer's wool bonnet. Looks good.

Wow, Ed! Beautiful 993 you've got there. Tell your wife you want some 2002 Carrera lightweights for Christmas! 933's look amazing with those wheels - which I have on my 996, btw.

I'm in hog heaven! Made my data sheet of VIN, option codes, tire sizes, etc. Then started the maintenance log. Then read the manual. Then slept 2.5 hours, and was up again @ 2 am reading my "993 Essential Companion" book.
Today, I've been all over her (after taking her for a wet cruise this morning). Took the glove box out to get behind the radio-installed an Ipod cable. With my Ipod or Iphone with Sirius, this is the extent of audio investment. It actually sounds pretty good-but not as good as the "six".
She definitely is not as fast as Ruby, but at about 4200 or so, the torque comes on, and she moves. The 6 speed means I've got gears to play with.
Someone suggested they'd be too close in lineage, and that I should consider a different marque. I think the similarity coupled with the dramatic differences is a dichotomy I'm gonna love. Like having a really nasty girlfriend who will do about anything with you, and then the "elegant" one that likes to have a good time, but is a bit classier and reserved. Ply her with a little "strong liquid", and some of the inhibitions melt! That's the closest analogy I can come up with.

Fabulous analogy. The problem is the elegant one hides a nasty side too. It runs in the family, haha! Dangit, now I'm seeing the logic of getting a 993.
