Or get a 964 and name it Fate. That way when you have to decide which to drive, you'll say, "is it Fate, or is it Destiny?"

PERFECT. For you(as I see it): solid car, clean, great miles, a solid driver that can be moded at the same time. A total package already filling your objective, this car affords you a clean canvas for making it your "own". This car lends itself well to modest suspension and other "bolt on" mods that can only enhance it's usefulness to you without limiting it's civility. In my mind, a 993 looks and responds well to simple wheel changes - it's liberating to have wheel choices outside the Fuchs.
If I may suggest, keep your eyes peeled for a Bosch "Hammer", or better, a bootleg of Porsche software and interface cable that will allow you to communicate with the cars various systems. I suspect you are perfectly equiped otherwise to handle most of the service and maintenance on your own. remember: 2 oil filters(you can modify a cheap parts-store "cap" filter wrench to get at the little one) and 2 cute little cabin air filters. Oh, that top side #6 plug is a bitch.
Congrats - you could not have made a better choice in my opinion. Keep you backside to the wall in the 993 forums.

That is an outstanding color combo in my book!

It sounds like a really nice balance: Caring previous owner who took good care of things, but not a hyper-perfect low-mile "exotic" specimen that you'd be afraid to touch.

You are likely right, that there may be some suspension bits that can benefit from replacement just due to age/miles. Updating within "generally stock" parameters would probably be the perfect target for how you intend to use this car.

Also like the Vettel-eque penchant for naming cars... I wish I could come up with cool names for my cars. If you ever have a great idea for a Prussian blue coupe, let me know!

Was almost exactly the car that I was initially looking for when I sold my cabriolet. Seriously.

LSD - low miles 1995 Midnight blue/cashmere or gray interior.

I'm jealous - but good for you. The 993 can get you into "arrest me speeds" pretty quickly - be careful my friend...

Thank you all.

We're faced with a rainy weekend in SoCal this, so it will probably be in the center of the garage getting a full look.
