I thought my friend Salvador drove the SC from hell......I ain't seen nuthin. My first impression is to not do anything more until you get the cis pressure gauge set. I would also suggest a fuel accumulator.
I was just going by post 14. I agree, the alleged mechanic screwed the pooch here. I'd say they need to start with the basics and see what didn't get hooked up correctly.
Yes, I see. Sounds like a chinese fire drill with this one. Back to square one as Ed says for sure. Fuel, fire, power, ground. Plan on taking some time(patience), some money, and lots of research if you are going to sort this one out yourself. Otherwise, get the car to a competent shop(preferably not in pieces) and let an experienced wrench go through the system.
Also, cars that sit for a while can have fuel issues. make sure the fuel filter (there is a small "sock" inside the tank that can get really clogged) is clear. It is found by removing the big "plug" that the fuel line comes out of. you'll see it under the car at the fuel tank - then work your way back to the motor.
There has to be an SC in your area. If you can get them side by side you can see where the wires and hoses go, plug wires, & position of the dist cap. Seeing if things are hooked up correctly is a good first start. Sitting that long may have gotten water in the fuel. How many miles ws it driven before magic fingers started tinkering. I am unclear who did what work when, your details are unclear.
