Default Porsche tequiptment floor mats

Just wondering if anyone has a set of these, and if so, what do you think of them? I'm considering getting a set. The only option for a black mat is black lettering. Alternatively, it looks like I could get Lloyd mats in black with red "Porsche" lettering. They'd be almost 3 times more expensive though. Opinions?

Try to get a sample of the extra heavy Super plush Lloyd's mats. They last forever and have a very high quality feel. I wouldn't spend any money on embroidery but to each his own.

I bought a set of Tequipment mats for my '87 Carrera a few months back. I was hesitant because I had heard that the fit wasn't great, but they fit perfectly and look great. They're priced very reasonably too.

Hi Logan2Z,

May I ask where did you buy your 87 Tequipement mats? I want to buy one too for my RHD car.
TIA

I bought a set of Techequipment floor mats for my 964 awhile back. They are not cut the same as factory mats, but are made well and have been holding up.

I thought I read somewhere that Lloyds makes the mats for Porsche...

Hey guys,

I appreciate everyone's feedback. I"ll have to check out the Lloyd mats. I was planning on having the embroided "Porsche" b/c my old mats had it. Did the standard mats that came with an '87 911 have "Porsche" on them? Without the writting, I imagine the price of the Lloyd mats would be closer to the Tequipment mats. I'll probably go with the Lloyd's, but it's good to know that the Tequipments are a solid option.

I had the Lloyds mats in black with red Carrera script, but the red soon turns black no matter how carefully you wipe your feet. If I were to do it again, I'd get the script in black too - or not at all.

I found a better solution to be Coco mats because the coarse fiber lets dirt filter down so it's not visible. Just shake them out every few weeks. They also have more of a period-correct look IMO.

I have the Lloyds mats for my '87 with silver Carrera script, I agree with the lettering colour change over time but they fit perfectly, look great and do clean very easily.

Rod,
