Default Question on garage find

I have met someone with a 911 in her garage that she wants to sell to make some room. When I started asking for more information it peeked my interest. It is an 86 Carerra Coupe red on black, 43K miles (she bought it new) and always garage kept. The only change I see is the Alpine head unit, everything else is in very good condition and original. Is 15k a good price for this car?
Thanks for any insight you can give.

That would be stealing it. 24k -25k is the correct value

You know the PPI story. Even at this price, you could stand to do some reconditioning as needed and still have headroom for investment.

She has all the paperwork and windows sticker from the day it was purchased. I am looking forward to being the 2nd owner.

I'd take a bag of cash over there today for that price, if that's what you're agreed upon.

Terrible deal. Walk away fast. BTW what's her address? I can be in Montgomery in 4 hours.

Ummmm.... Are there mice in the garage? How old are the tires? When was it last run? Has the battery gone dead and frozen and dumped acid on the front left floor pan? How old is the gasoline? Was it parked next to a car and used as a door bumper?

Price is everything on a car like this. It could be a great deal for a do-it-yourselfer or a complete money pit if you gotta pay someone.

I bought a 78SC with 68K miles and a recent (when parked) top that had set for 7 years for $7K. Put a grand into it in parts and drive it every day. Great car.

The one on the left.

I know it was recently driven around 100 miles and the tires were replaced within the year.

Sounds like a good deal with the miles. As others said I would still do a PPI.

PPI, for sure.

Best of luck on what could be a great find.
