Anyone going to Petit Le Mans?
Oct. 2 for the ALMS finale. Peugeot, Audi and the GT3 R Hybrid all headed over from Europe. 10 hours. A hot GT2 battle that will probably go down to the wire.
I'm really thinking of flying to GA for this one. I've done the 24 hour Rolex and the 24 Hour Le Mans races already, so this would be the trifecta for long endurance races in 2010 for me. Plus, I've never been to Road Atlanta.

Ed,
I am green with envy. Let me see - a 14hr flight to LA plus connecting flight east and I am sure that I could find a reason to stay longer as well.
Cheers
Andrew
PS Great thread on Ruby's upgrade, I followed it with great anticipation.

Ed, my buddy and I went last year after an 11hour drive from Florida, the race was red flagged, besides that we had a great time decent facility, you can walk around pretty much anywhere, a lot of vendor's, PCA's corner is good {I think the Corvette guy's is better} but overall a good time, we wont be making it this year unfortunate.

There's a good chance my wife and I will be there. We've got to sort out a few things first, but it's probably going to happen.

I'll be there...great track. Finally get to park in the Porsche Corral! Last year got rained out and it turned into a mudfest...I still spent the night and had a blast.

Well, I'm closer to making this. I missed the cutoff for advance ticket purchase by 3 hours, but somehow I think I can get a ticket at the gate on Saturday-pretty sure there'll be room at the track.
I've worked my schedule out to end my day a bit earlier in Sacramento on Friday and could get to Atlanta close to Midnight. I'll stay near the airport and drive out early Sat am.
I've reserved my flights-the pricing is freaking ugly, or it's 100K in miles, which I hate burning domestically. WTF is up with all of the people flying out of Atlanta on Sunday? But, this is the cap for my year of endurance races: Daytona in Jan, Le Mans in June, and I've never been to Road Atlanta. I'm actually stalling as I type this and am talking to my wife about all of the reasons for me to go, (FLMS poised to win championship, GT3R Hybrid debut, the "big boys" from Europe in LMP for this, the fact I was set to go in '06 and got sick, etc) and she's telling me to "go already!" So, I'm poised to hit "purchase" on AA.com.....
